Most people really heavily on the drone systems but don’t, its a really good idea to use these Intelligent flight modes as assistance during your job operations though its within boundaries.
This weeks dose we will cover;

Remote Pilot cannot live with out using these 3 - critical capabilities for example subject tracking, obstacle avoidance and last bot not least intelligent flight mode. These features Dji offers modern content creators are so powerful and important when operating in environments were there are heaps of obstructions & building.
As Dji is improving these functions GOD KNOW’S ! We could see a drone that never crashes even if it get to close to a tree, which in tern allows for smooth footage crash-free flights & cinematic moments.
🧠 1. Subject Tracking — The Shot Saver
Subject tracking is my go-to for ensuring buttery-smooth footage that stays locked onto the the moving or stationed point, no matter how complex the drone shot must be. Whether flying through tight alleyways or tracking fast-moving objects were the drone is operating in challenging spaces, active track already dose most of the heavy lifting for you. It controls the drone's flight path and gimbal, letting me focus more on framing and storytelling than controlling the .
📸 Pro Tip: Let the drone do the tracking while you focus on reframing the shot, this streamlines the entire filmmaking process.
🧱 2. Obstacle Avoidance — Your Crash Insurance
Flying in urban areas or dense forests? This is where Obstacle Avoidance becomes your best friend. The new DJI Mavic 4 Pro (2025 edition) updates have dedicated sensors, especially for low light environments where their is limited amount of light in the first place. Operating in deep dark forest or bushes saved me from more than a few accidents.
🌲 Pro Tip: When training as a new remote pilot the use obstacle-rich environments (trees, buildings) to build confidence but always keep the drone at head height until you feel more in control.
